Sergio Magnani passed away in February 2001, leaving his precious collection to the Foundation of Arts Education in his will. Beyond many documents about his life and professional career, this collection also provides us of an privileged insight of the people, cultural facts and institutions related to the music in Belo Horizonte and in Brazil, during the period of 1951 to 2000.

It's worth to note - beyond other objects - the significant collection of room programs, music score of opera and symphonic, opera booklets and many more records about his important work on restoration of music scores from Minas Gerais' colonial period.

His library comprehends numerous subjects in Philosophy, Aesthetics, Literature, and also dictionaries from the many languages he mastered and researched.

Between the many awards given to Magnani, it's possible to find medals and certifications awarded by Minas Gerais and São Paulo that proves the worth of his cultural contributions. It's also possible through the whole collection of Sergio Magnani to have a deeper look on his personal life through letters, photos and personal objects.
